Isozid®-H colourless - alcoholic solution for skin disinfection, 5000 ML

Isozid-H colourless is used to disinfect the skin before injections, vaccinations, incisions, punctures andoperations, unless Isozid-H coloured is preferred for marking.

Isozid-H is effective against the most important pathogens. Its germicidal effect covers most bacteria, and the solution also has fungicidal and virucidal properties.

The alcohol content guarantees a rapid onset of action and allows effective cleansing,degreasing and disinfection of healthy, uninjured skin.Hexetidine supports the bactericidal and fungicidal effect of the alcohols and gives the preparation a long-lasting effect, keeping the wound environment germ-free even during operations.

How to use

Isozid-H is intended for use on healthy skin. Isozid-H is applied undilutedto the skin using a sterileswab; the strokes should be applied in one direction and the swabshould always be reapplied. Three coats are required to prepare the surgical field.

The disinfection time shouldnot be less than 30 seconds for vaccinations and s.c., i.m., i.v. injections and90 seconds foroperations, punctures and incisions .

Repeated large-area applications at short intervals should be avoided in infants.

Ingredients

The active ingredients are: Hexetidine, 2- propanol and 1-propanol . 1 ml contains 1 mg hexetidine, 314 mg2-propanol, 281 mg 1-propanol. Total alcohol content 75 vol%.

The other ingredients are: Lactic acid, glycerine, water.
