Herposicc lip ointment for the rapid healing of cold sores. Benzocaine soothes pain and itching, zinc oxide heals the blisters.

Herposicc is a lip ointment with a mild analgesic effect.

Herposicc is used for the local symptomatic treatment of herpes labialis (cold sores). The active ingredient benzocaine has an analgesic effect, zinc oxide has a slightly astringent and anti-inflammatory effect.

Active ingredients

Benzocaine, a local anaesthetic that relieves pain and reduces the burning sensation in the affected area. As a local anaesthetic, it acts very quickly and relief can usually be felt within a few minutes.
Zinc oxide is used to heal moist wounds in particular. It accelerates both the drying out of the blisters and their healing. Because of this unique combination of the two active ingredients, which have a pain-relieving and healing effect, Herposicc lip ointment has been the most widely used product for healing cold sores for many years.

How to use

If necessary, apply a thin layer of ointment about the size of a lentil to the lips several times a day until the cold sores have largely healed.

Ingredients

The active ingredients are: Benzocaine and zinc oxide

1 g ointment contains 14 mg benzocaine and 36 mg zinc oxide.

The other ingredients are: Yellow vaseline, wool wax alcohol ointment, wool wax, talc, sulphur for external use, phenol.
