- To improve the moisturisation of the surface of the eye in the case of environmental discomfort such as dry eyes, foreign body sensation or burning of the eyes, as well as after eye surgery.
- If your eyes itch, burn, tire quickly and you have the feeling that you have sand in your eyes, this may be caused by inadequate moisturisation of the surface of the eye. For example, the natural tear film may break down more quickly if you spend a long time in air-conditioned rooms or work intensively at a computer screen. However, in order to keep the tissues of the eye fully functional, they must be constantly moisturised by the tear film.
- The body's own tear secretion can be reduced by surgical procedures on the eye or after injuries to the eye. However, the regeneration of the superficial tissues of the eye requires constant and sufficient moisturisation. By using HYLO COMOD®, the cornea and conjunctiva are supplied with long-lasting moisture so that the physiological healing processes can take place optimally.
- HYLO COMOD® contains the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found in the eye as well as in other parts of the body. It has the special physical property of forming an even, stable and particularly long-lasting moisturising film on the surface of the eye without being quickly washed away. At the same time, visual performance is fully maintained. This provides the eye with long-lasting protection against dryness and irritation, which is particularly important for contact lens wearers, as the contact lens can only be optimally tolerated if it can float in sufficient tear fluid.
- HYLO COMOD® can be used while wearing contact lenses. The use of HYLO COMOD® makes wearing contact lenses more comfortable without the formation of crusts or deposits.
- Because it contains no preservatives, HYLO COMOD® is generally very well tolerated. HYLO COMOD® is also phosphate-free, so that possible complications due to the formation of deposits in the cornea are avoided.

How to use
- Remove the cap before each use by holding the cap just above the bottle and pulling the bottle away from the cap with a twisting motion using your other hand. Before using HYLO COMOD® for the first time, hold the bottle with the dropper tip pointing vertically downwards and press the bottom of the bottle repeatedly until the first drop emerges from the tip of the bottle. The bottle is then ready for use for the following applications.
- Hold the bottle with the dropper tip pointing downwards by placing your thumb on the shoulder of the bottle and your other fingers on the base of the bottle.
- Support your hand with the COMOD® bottle on your free hand as shown.
- Avoid any contact between the tip of the bottle and your eye or skin when applying the eye drops. Lean your head back slightly, pull the lower eyelid slightly away from the eye with your free hand and press quickly and firmly in the centre of the bottom of the bottle. This activates the mechanism for withdrawing a drop. Due to the special valve technology of the COMOD® system, the size and speed of the drop is always the same, even if you press very hard on the bottom of the bottle. Close your eyes slowly so that the liquid can spread evenly over the surface of the eye.
- Close the dropper tip carefully with the cap immediately after use. Please ensure that the dropper tip is dry.
