Vitamin B5 (also known as panthothenic acid) is a water-soluble vitamin that belongs to the group of B vitamins. As a building block of coenzyme A, it is important for the entire organism. It is essential for energy production and is also involved in the synthesis and breakdown of carbohydrates, fats, amino acids and in cholesterol synthesis. A deficiency of pantothenic acid can occur as a result of chronic illnesses, diabetes, high alcohol consumption or unbalanced diets. In some cases, supplementation with vitamin B5 6 mg GPH capsules can be useful.
