Gall Pharma Methionine Capsules is a food supplement containing 500 mg L-methionine per capsule. The essential amino acid supports the body's fat metabolism. It counteracts the storage of fats in the blood vessels and liver.

Methionine 500 mg GPH capsules contain 500 mg L-methionine in a hard gelatine capsule. L-methionine is the starting point for all protein synthesis (star amino acid). It is also particularly important for fat metabolism, as it counteracts the storage of fats in the blood vessels and liver. L-methionine is a component of L-carnitine, which transports fat into the cells where it is then burnt. In metabolism, L-methionine is a methyl group donor. In order to make its methyl group available, L-methionine must first be activated. L-methionine reacts with an adenosyl residue to form S-adenosyl-L-methionine. This compound is very energy-rich and serves as a further transmitter. It is involved in the formation of choline, creatine and adrenaline. L-methionine provides essential building blocks for the synthesis of numerous endogenous substances and is therefore associated with wound healing processes, defence function and an increase in the body's regeneration phase after heavy physical exertion. L-methionine removes heavy metals from the organism and, as an antioxidant, protects against free radicals, detoxifies the liver and prevents the formation of a fatty liver.

L-methionine

L-methionine is one of the essential amino acids. As a sulphur-containing amino acid, it is an important source of organically bound sulphur alongside L-cysteine and L-cystine. The sulphur content of proteins is based on the content of these amino acids. L-methionine is not only a protein building block, but also participates in numerous metabolic processes (methyl group donor). It is a precursor of L-cysteine, L-cystine and taurine.
