Gall Pharma Eye-Fit Capsules are a dietary supplement with alpha-lipoic acid, lutein, lycopene, MegaNatural®-BP grape seed extract and taurine to support normal eye function.

The eye is one of the most important sensory organs in the human body. The brain is directly or indirectly connected with the processing and storage of sensory impressions from the eyes. However, the normal ageing process reduces the performance of the eye. Certain factors such as sunlight, smoking, blue eyes and a lack of nutrients can also accelerate this process. To maintain normal vision and protect the cells from oxidative stress, the eye needs various nutrients that are tailored to its tasks. • The alpha-lipoic acid it contains, also known as thioctic acid, is produced in small quantities by the body itself and is a natural antioxidant. It protects the eye tissue, retina and lens from degeneration and prevents various eye diseases such as cataracts or age-related macular degeneration.
• Lutein belongs to the carotenoids and is added as a lutein ester, a precursor of lutein. It cannot be produced by the body itself and must therefore be constantly supplied. Lutein occurs as a pigment in the retina, enriched in the yellow spot (macula lutea). There it unfolds its effect as an antioxidant by reducing free radicals and the associated oxidative stress. It is also able to absorb high-energy wavelengths in the blue spectral range and thus prevent photochemical damage.
• Lycopene is a carotenoid and is found in particularly high concentrations in tomatoes. It is a natural antioxidant that protects the eye from free radicals.
• Grape seed extract is a natural source of another antioxidant, the OPC it contains. These oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC) protect the eye from ultraviolet rays.
• Taurine is also a powerful antioxidant that protects the retina of the eye from cell damage caused by free radicals.

• Composition per daily dose (3 capsules): 150 mg alpha lipoic acid, 15 mg lutein, 15 mg lycopene, 255 mg OPC from MegaNatural®-BP grape seed extract and 300 mg taurine.
