Gall Pharma Boswellia Serrata capsules are a dietary supplement with 200 mg Indian frankincense dry extract per capsule. It is used to alleviate rheumatic complaints and for the supportive treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases.

The frankincense dry extract used medicinally today comes from the resin of the Indian frankincense tree, Boswellia serrata, which grows mainly in the dry hilly regions of India. The active ingredients of frankincense include boswellic acids, essential oils and tannins. Boswellic acids specifically and selectively inhibit 5-lipoxygenase, the key enzyme in inflammatory processes. The Indian frankincense extract known as sallaki is of great interest in the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases and rheumatic diseases. Even in ancient times, frankincense was used as a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory natural remedy.
