Frontline TRI-ACT® is a veterinary medicinal product for the treatment and prevention of flea and/or tick infestations when a repellent effect (prevention of blood uptake) against sand flies, biting flies and/or mosquitoes is also indicated.

The new FRONLTINE Tri-Act® is based on the proven FRONTLINE® compatibility2, enhanced by the innovative active ingredient combination of fipronil and permethrin.
- Fipronil is an active ingredient that disrupts the stimulus conduction of insects (e.g. fleas) and arachnids (e.g. ticks), causing the parasites to die. The active ingredient is effective on invertebrates and not on mammals such as dogs or humans.
- The active ingredient permethrin has a repellent and killing effect against ticks and flying insects as well as a killing effect against fleas.
- The combination results in an improved "speed of kill" compared to the individual active ingredients - this means that it takes effect very quickly and the parasites are killed within 6 hours.

Areas of application
For use in dogs. For the treatment and prevention of flea and/or tick infestations when a repellent effect (prevention of blood uptake) against sand flies, biting flies and/or mosquitoes is also indicated.
- Fleas: Treatment and prevention of flea infestations with Ctenocephalides felis and prevention of flea infestations with Ctenocephalides canis. Treatment prevents a new flea infestation for 4 weeks. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy against flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), provided this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.
- Ticks: Treatment and prevention of tick infestation (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The treatment kills ticks (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) and has a repellent effect against ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) for 4 weeks after treatment. The repellent effect against Dermacentor reticulatus starts on day 7 after treatment and lasts for up to 4 weeks.
- Mosquitoes and sandflies: Has a repellent effect (prevents blood uptake) against sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) for 3 weeks and against mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes albopictus) for 4 weeks. Kills sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and mosquitoes (Aedes albopictus) for 3 weeks. Reduces the risk of infection with Leishmania infantum through transmission of sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) for up to 4 weeks. The effect is based on the indirect efficacy of the veterinary medicinal product against the vector.
- Biting flies: Repellent (prevention of blood uptake) and kills the common biting fly (Stomoxys calcitrans) for 5 weeks.

How to use
- Hold pipette tip upright and cut off at the perforated area.
- Part the fur in two places on the animal's neck until the skin becomes visible. Place the pipette tip directly on the skin and empty the liquid active ingredient completely onto the skin.
- The active ingredient is distributed over the entire surface of the skin within 1 - 2 days from the point on the neck that is inaccessible to the animal.
Contraindications: Do not use on sick or recovering animals. This veterinary medicinal product has been specially developed for dogs. Do not use on cats or rabbits as intolerance and death may occur. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients

- Active ingredients: fipronil 67.6 mg, permethrin 504.8 mg.
- Other ingredients: Butylhydroxtoluene (Ph.Eur.) (E321) 1.125 mg, N-methylpyrrolidone (Ph.Eur.), glycerol trialkanoate (C<6>C<12>).
