Flector EP plasters, 5 ST

Flector EP plasters are a non-prescription medicine for the external treatment of pain and swelling of the musculoskeletal system with the active ingredient: diclofenac-epolamine (EP).

Flector EP plasters are suitable for the external treatment of painful complaints of the musculoskeletal system. The active ingredient diclofenac-epolamine is easily absorbed through the skin and reaches the affected tissue directly, where it develops its analgesic, anti-inflammatory and decongestant effect.

Areas of application

Gel-impregnated plasters for the external, local treatment of

• Pain caused by muscle tension (including lumbago)
• Pain and swelling after blunt injuries and sports injuries (e.g. sprains, strains, bruises)

Dosage form

Directions for use

• Adults and adolescents aged 16 and over: Apply 1 plaster to the area to be treated 1 - 2 times a day (morning or evening) and press down firmly. The plaster is self-adhesive.
• Children and adolescents under 16 years of age: There are insufficient data on efficacy and tolerability in children and adolescents under 16 years of age.
• Older persons: Flector EP patches should be used with caution in the elderly as they are more prone to side effects.

Method of application:

1. Flector EP - Patch is intended for application to the skin.
2. Cut open the pouch along the marking and remove one plaster.
3. Remove the transparent protective film andplace the plaster with the adhesive surface on thepainful area, press firmly and allow to adhere to the skin. Close the bag tightly after each removal (pressure seal).
4. No specialprecautions are required on the affected skin area before applying the plaster.
5. Apply the plaster to the most painful area.
6. The plaster may only be applied to intact, uninjured skin and should notbe worn whileshowering or bathing .The simultaneous application of several plasters is not recommended andthe plaster should be used as a whole.

The duration of treatment should not exceed 14 days.

If your symptoms worsen or do not improve, you mustalways consult a doctor. For adolescents aged 16 years and over, the patient/parents are advisedto consult a doctor if the medicineis neededfor more than 7 days to treat painor if the symptoms worsen.

Special instructions

The plaster may only be used on intact, uninjured skin and must not be applied to skin wounds or open injuries. Do not cut or divide Flector plasters as this can lead to an uncontrolled release of the active ingredient and damage the plaster.

Ingredients

• The active ingredient is: 180 mg diclofenac-epolamine (EP) per patch.
• The other ingredients are:gelatine, povidone, sorbitol solution 70%, white clay, titanium dioxide (E171), propylene glycol, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E216),sodium edetate (.2H2O), tartaric acid, carmellose sodium, sodium polyacrylate, dihydroxyaluminium glycinate, 1,3-butanediol, polysorbate 80, fragrance (Dalin PH),purified water; polyester cloth, propylene film.
