Femaltiker® is the first and only dietary supplement for use whilst breastfeeding, made from natural barley malt for mothers. It contains a standardised amount of beta-glucan and has a caramel flavour.

Supporting breast milk production during breastfeeding

Femaltiker® is particularly recommended for women who experience a delayed onset of milk production or have difficulty maintaining breastfeeding. As Femaltiker® contains barley malt, it supports breast milk production during the breastfeeding period.

Furthermore, it contains lemon balm, which alleviates symptoms of stress that breastfeeding mothers may experience; particularly those who have difficulty initiating or maintaining breastfeeding. Femaltiker® supports mothers who wish to breastfeed their baby, alleviates stress associated with the initiation of breastfeeding and supports a woman’s body during the breastfeeding period

The main ingredient in Femaltiker® is barley malt extract, which consists of easily digestible polysaccharides. One of the most important polysaccharides is beta-glucan, which is involved in metabolic processes that are in turn linked to milk production: Beta-glucan stimulates the pituitary cells, thereby promoting increased production of prolactin. When released into the bloodstream, this hormone influences the initiation and maintenance of breast milk production via the milk-producing alveoli within the mammary gland.

Recommended intake

• In cases of insufficient breast milk supply
• In cases of difficulty initiating or maintaining breastfeeding
• In the event of low weight gain in the baby associated with an insufficient supply of breast milk
• In cases of stress related to the initiation of lactation

Directions for use

• Take 1–2 sachets daily with meals. It is recommended to take femaltiker® between 30 minutes and 1 hour before you plan to breastfeed or express breast milk. The product can be used from the second day after birth. Mix the contents of one sachet with approximately 150 ml of milk (warm or cold) and stir thoroughly. In the event of lactose intolerance, other types of milk or even water may be used. The preparation may also be mixed with natural or flavoured yoghurt.
• Notes: The product should be taken under medical supervision. The product must not be used as the sole source of nutrition. The product is intended for breastfeeding mothers. The product is not intended for parenteral use. Femaltiker® can be used from the 2nd day after birth. The recommended daily dose should not be exceeded.
