The cooling ointment is also known as cold cream, cooling ointment, unguentum leniens, whale ointment, Cérat de Galien. In this lipophilic ointment made from beeswax and hardened peanut oil, the ointment breaks down when heated on the skin and the escaping water evaporates, absorbing energy. This results in a slight cooling effect. The cooling ointment is also valued for its excellent tolerability, as it contains no emulsifiers or preservatives. It is used for atopic dermatitis, itching, acute to sub-acute skin conditions and for skin care.

- To massage into the skin.
- Advice: Not suitable for patients with nut allergies! Only apply to intact skin. Discontinue use immediately if skin irritation occurs. Do not apply to eyes or mucous membranes.
