Pater Severin Eucalyptus Spray is a dietary supplement for oral use, based on an ancient monastic recipe. It is made from a 100 per cent aqueous/alcoholic extract of eucalyptus leaves.
The eucalyptus tree (Eucalyptus globulus Labill.) belongs to the Myrtaceae family (myrtle family). Another name for the eucalyptus tree is ‘fever tree’. Its most important active ingredient is the essential oil (eucalyptol). The strongly aromatic essential oil and the bitter-tasting eucalyptus leaves are said to help loosen thick mucus from the bronchi. Eucalyptus essential oil is found in numerous cold remedies, baths, inhalants and liniments.
