FRUCTOSIN® capsules are a high-quality medical product containing the enzyme xylose isomerase to alleviate digestive disorders caused by fructose malabsorption.

• FRUCTOSiN® converts fructose to glucose in the small intestine and thus helps to alleviate the symptoms of fructose malabsorption.
• One capsule of FRUCTOSiN® is able to convert approx. 6.2 g of fructose into glucose in the small intestine.

Fructose and fructose malabsorption

• Fruit sugar (also known as fructose) is found naturally in fruits such as pomaceous fruit, berries, exotic fruits and honey. Household sugar (sucrose) obtained from sugar beet and sugar cane consists of half fructose and half glucose. Fructose tastes very sweet and is therefore often used industrially to sweeten drinks and food.
• In the case of fructose malabsorption, the body is unable to absorb sufficient fructose in the intestine. This leads to an excess of fructose in the digestive tract. The bacterial breakdown of fructose leads to the symptoms of fructose malabsorption such as abdominal cramps, nausea and impaired intestinal function.

How to use

Depending on the total fructose intake, take 1-2 capsules with water up to 3 times a day 15 minutes before meals containing fructose. When the fructose reaches the intestine, the capsule should already be dissolved and the xylose isomerase it contains should be active. The capsule contents should not be chewed before swallowing, but should be swallowed whole. If you find it difficult to swallow the capsule, you can also open the capsule and take the contents immediately, unchewed, with a little water.

• Taking 6 capsules of FRUCTOSiN® can break down up to 36 g of fructose.

If the daily maximum amount of 6 capsules is exceeded, FRUCTOSiN® should only be used after consulting a doctor.
