Toddlers are full of energy and curiosity. Just as children themselves grow and develop, their brains grow and develop too. During this important time of brain development, it's important to ensure they get all the nutrients they need - including essential fatty acids. The addition of Equazen® provides a supplement of fatty acids, including DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), an omega-3 fatty acid that supports brain function and therefore concentration.¹ A toddler-friendly variant is Equazen® Liquid, which has a tasty citrus flavour.

Essential fatty acids

Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are essential for the body. However, it cannot produce them itself. It is therefore important to obtain them from the diet. Equazen® supplies these essential fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Equazen® contains EPA, DHA and GLA in a unique ratio of 9:3:1. DHA has been shown to support brain function.¹

^1Equazen®contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function. The positive effect is achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA.

Directions for use

• Adults, adolescents and children from 3 years of age: In the first 12 weeks: take 1 teaspoon (5ml) three times a day with a meal.
• Longer-term intake: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) per day, preferably with a meal.
• EQUAZEN® liquid can also be mixed into cold drinks or food (such as apple sauce or yoghurt). Heat destroys the valuable omega-3 fatty acids - EQUAZEN® should therefore not be cooked or mixed into hot food.
• Shake before use.
• Advice: Store in a dry and cool place (< 25°C). Once opened, store in the refrigerator and consume within 3 months. Changes in the appearance of the oil due to temperature changes have no influence on the quality.

Sunflower oil, fish oil, evening primrose oil, flavourings: natural lemon oil (2.74%), natural lemon flavouring (0.26%), antioxidant: tocopherol-rich extract (from IP soya).

• Per 5 ml (= daily dose longer use than 3 months): Fish oil 800 mg of which omega-3 fatty acids -eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) 186 mg - docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) 58 mg, evening primrose oil 200 mg - gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) 20 mg
• Per 15 ml (= daily dose for the first 3 months): Fish oil 2400 mg of which omega-3 fatty acids - eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) 558 mg - docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) 174 mg, evening primrose oil 600 mg of which omega-6 fatty acids: - gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) 60 mg
