Engystol® tablets should ideally be taken at the first signs of a flu-like infection. They are ideal as an initial defence against the onset of colds and flu-like infections.

Engystol® tablets are ideal as an initial defence against the onset of colds and flu-like infections. They nip cold symptoms in the bud and should ideally be taken at the first sign of a flu-like infection. Adults usually catch 2-4 colds a year, whereas babies and children may catch up to 10. Although a cold is mostly harmless, the associated symptoms are often very protracted.

Engystol is suitable for the following symptoms of a cold:

• Sore throat
• cough
• runny nose
• Feeling of weakness
• headache
• Chills or sweating

Directions for use

Adults aged 18 years and over:

• 1 tablet 3 times a day
• For acute symptoms: 1 tablet every 1 to 2 hours max. 8 times a day

Use in children and adolescents:

• Children from 4 weeks to 23 months: 1 tablet daily
• Children from 2 to 6 years: 1 tablet 1 to 2 times daily
• Children from 6 to 12 years: 1 tablet twice a day
• Adolescents from 12 years: 1 tablet 3 times a day

For acute symptoms:

• Children from 4 weeks to 23 months: 1 tablet every 1 to 2 hours max. 4 times a day
• Children from 2 to 6 years: 1 tablet every 1 to 2 hours max. 6 times a day
• Children from 6 to 12 years: 1 tablet every 1 to 2 hours max. 8 times a day
• Adolescents aged 12 years and over: 1 tablet every 1 to 2 hours max. 8 times a day

If the symptoms improve, the frequency of use should be reduced.

Use in children under 4 weeks of age: The use of Engystol in children under 4 weeks of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data available.

Route of administration: To take, dissolve tablets slowly under the tongue. Take before meals. For children under 6 years of age, crush the tablets with a spoon and dissolve them in approx. 50 ml of water. Stir until the tablet is dissolved.

• 1 tablet contains: The active ingredients are: Vincetoxicum hirundinaria D6 75 mg, Vincetoxicum hirundinaria D10 75 mg, Vincetoxicum hirundinaria D30 75 mg, Sulfur D4 37.5 mg, Sulfur D10 37.5 mg.
• The other ingredients are: 300 mg lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate.
