EncorMed Coenzyme Q10 60 mg capsules are a dietary supplement designed to support the body’s energy supply. Coenzyme Q10 is a vitamin-like substance found in the mitochondria of cells, where it plays an important role.

Coenzyme Q10 (Q10) is classified as a fat-soluble vitaminoid and is found in significant concentrations particularly in the cell’s powerhouses (mitochondria) of organs with high energy requirements. Up to the age of 30, Q10 is produced by the body itself; however, this ability declines with age, which is why an adequate intake through diet becomes particularly important. A deficiency in Q10 results in reduced energy production within the cells and increased formation of free radicals. In excessive quantities, free radicals are harmful to cells, as they can attack or destroy proteins, cell membranes and other cellular components, and contribute to accelerated cellular ageing.
