Darmflora plus select Dr.Wolz contains 8 selected cultures in a concentration of 48 billion lactic acid bacteria per daily portion as well as B vitamins and promotes a healthy intestinal mucosa2,3. The lactic acid bacteria, also known as intestinal bacteria or microorganisms, are particularly protected against stomach and bile acids.

The intestine and intestinal flora

Up to nine metres long. A surface area as large as a tennis court. The intestine is our largest organ. And as large as it is, it is just as important for our health. Our gut is home to several trillion microorganisms that help it to provide our body with vital nutrients. It is surrounded by an intricate network of nerves: Every single nerve cell in the gut is similar to the nerve cells in our brain and spinal cord. Despite this, the gut is notoriously underestimated.

Lactic acid bacteria are among the most important natural inhabitants of the intestinal microbiome (intestinal flora). Due to their strong lactic and acetic acid production, they produce an acidic environment, which ensures a normal intestinal environment. Acidified dairy products such as yoghurt, buttermilk and kefir, as well as sauerkraut, contain many of these valuable living lactic acid bacteria, so-called probiotics (Greek: pro bios = for life). They are similar to the "good" bacteria in our intestines in the case of a healthy and stable intestinal flora. However, the lactic acid bacteria naturally present in food are true sensitives. They do not like antibiotics, high temperatures or moisture and their bacterial count drops significantly during storage. In the body, the lactic acid bacteria are then also affected by stomach and bile acids. Thanks to the enteric-coated capsule of Darmflora plus select, the lactic acid bacteria reach the intestinal flora directly, protected from stomach acid, and thus their destination in the intestine. The capsules are also protected from the effects of temperature, do not need to be refrigerated and are therefore also suitable for travelling.

Ingredients

Darmflora plus® select Dr. Wolz is a preparation specially developed to promote a healthy intestinal mucosa2,3. The selected cultures occur naturally in the different sections of the human intestine and support the physiological intestinal flora in its tasks. The B vitamins contained promote the intestinal mucosa and support the immune system: vitamin B2 and biotins contribute to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes2,3. Vitamins B6, B12 and folic acid promote the normal function of the immune system. The capsules can be used during and after antibiotic therapy.

Active ingredients: Intestinal flora plus select: One capsule contains 8 selected lactic acid cultures in a concentration of 12 billion lactic acid bacteria (48 billion (=48 x109) per day) as well as vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, biotin and folic acid.

According to the multi-species concept, it makes sense to supply several different cultures of intestinal bacteria. Preparations with a multi-species concept are therefore particularly recommended - such as Darmflora plus® select Dr Wolz. It contains eight different intestinal bacteria which, according to current studies, represent a combination of cultures that occur naturally in different sections of the small and large intestine. We only use registered, genetically characterised lactic acid bacteria cultures that have been confirmed as safe.

The 8 cultures present are:

Four capsules contain 48 billion lactic acid bacteria as well as 1.1 mg vitamin B1, 1.4 mg vitamin B2, 1.4 mg vitamin B6, 2.5 µg vitamin B12, 50 µg biotin and 200 µg folic acid.

The capsules are also vegan and gluten-free and free from gelatine, milk protein, lactose, fructose, histamine and colourings.

Darmflora plus select does not contain any histamine-forming bacterial strains or the lactic acid bacteria it contains do not contain any genes that favour the formation of histamine.

Directions

Take 4 capsules daily with liquid at mealtimes. For long-term use, the daily amount can be reduced to 2 capsules. Children between 2 and 10 years of age only need half the amount. If necessary, the capsules can be opened by pulling them apart. During antibiotic therapy, Darmflora plus® select should be taken as far apart as possible from the antibiotic. Please note that a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are important for good health.
