Dr W. Gruber's® Calcium Chelate plus Vitamin D Tablets contain a high-dose combination of calcium in an optimised chelated form and vitamin D. This optimises the absorption and utilisation of the nutrients by the body.
Calcium contributes to normal blood clotting and signal transmission between nerve cells and is required for cell division and specialisation. It is essential for normal energy metabolism and the function of digestive enzymes.
Normal muscle function and cell division require the bulk element calcium and vitamin D. The latter contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
The human skeleton consists of a good 206 bones, into which vital substances are incorporated on a daily basis, but are also released into the blood. This process is called turnover. Calcium and vitamin D are needed to maintain normal bones and teeth. Vitamin D is essential as it contributes to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus and to a normal calcium level in the blood.
Magnesium and calcium in chelated form can be taken together and do not interfere with each other's absorption.
