According to legend, Earl Grey, our favourite black tea variety, goes back to the following story: Charles Grey, the second Earl Grey, tasted tea from a ship's cargo that had been doused with leaking bergamot oil during a strong storm on the voyage from India. He was delighted with the accidental product. Since then, the delicious, lemony flavour of this classic black tea has delighted many tea lovers.
