Dr Jacob’s Vitamin DEKA Oil contains all four fat-soluble vitamins in just one drop and is ideal for anyone who wants to do even more for their immune system. Each serving (1 drop) contains 20 µg (800 IU) of vitamin D3, 12 mg of tocopherols (4 mg of vitamin E), 20 µg of vitamin K2 and 240 µg of vitamin A.
Vitamin D has become much more important over the last decade thanks to compelling study results. It is particularly well known for its role in our immune system. Less well known, but just as important for our immune system: vitamin A
An adequate supply is important, as vitamin A is involved, amongst other things, in the formation and activation of many immune cells (e.g. antibodies and white blood cells). In many cells, vitamin A acts synergistically with vitamin D, as the respective vitamin receptors fuse with one another. Vitamin A is also required to maintain the integrity of the mucous membranes (e.g. in the gut and respiratory tract). Although the intake of beta-carotene, the provitamin A, is relatively good, only a small proportion is converted into the active form of vitamin A (retinol). It is therefore advisable to take retinol.
Alongside vitamin A, vitamin E is important for cell health. This vitamin forms part of the antioxidant system and protects cells from oxidative stress. Dr Jacob’s Vitamin DEKA Oil contains all four natural tocopherols of the vitamin E family.

Vitamins D3 and K2: the ideal combination for your bones

Vitamins D3 and K2 work together to facilitate the incorporation of calcium into the bones, thereby helping to maintain normal bones. Vitamin D3 stimulates the production of osteocalcin (a key protein in bone metabolism). Vitamin K2 is required to activate osteocalcin. Only activated osteocalcin can actually incorporate calcium into the bones.
Rather than in high single doses, calcium is best taken in moderate amounts and in combination with magnesium and potassium, as in Dr Jacob’s Alkaline Powder. Calcium and magnesium, in combination with vitamins D3 and K2, support the maintenance of normal bones, whilst potassium helps maintain normal blood pressure.
The long-chain vitamin K2 (all-trans MK-7) contained in Dr Jacob’s Vitamin DEKA Oil is highly bioavailable and exhibits significantly greater stability (half-life of approx. 3 days) than vitamin K1 (1–2 hours).

Fat-soluble vitamins in safe doses

In accordance with the maximum intake levels set by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the dosage of the vitamins contained in Dr Jacob’s Vitamin DEKA Oil is safe.
For vitamin D, the EFSA considers a daily intake of 100 µg (4000 IU) of vitamin D from all sources to be safe (tolerable) for people aged 11 and over. The maximum daily intake of vitamin E from all sources for adults is 300 mg α-TE. The maximum daily intake of vitamin A from all sources is 3000 μg RE. This is only reached when taking 10 drops of Vitamin DEKA Oil. To date, no cases of vitamin K overdose or possible side effects have been observed in healthy individuals.

For adults and children aged 1 year and over: 1 drop daily (1 dose).
For infants: 1 drop every other day.
Higher doses may be recommended for health reasons.
