The bladder - a sensitive organ
The female bladder in particular often reacts very sensitively to external influences. Due to the female anatomy, the female urethra is considerably shorter than the male urethra.
Anyone with a sensitive bladder should therefore not sit on a cold surface or wear wet swimwear - because even these seemingly harmless behaviours can irritate the bladder mucosa and weaken the bladder's defences. Frequent sexual intercourse and the use of local contraceptives (condoms, diaphragms, copper IUDs) are also stress factors for the bladder.
It is therefore advisable to empty the bladder as soon as possible after each sexual intercourse so that no foreign bodies can penetrate the sensitive mucous membranes. To protect the bladder, an adequate fluid intake (at least 1.5 to 2 litres of water per day) is also very important, as this flushes the urinary tract well. Certain combinations of plants and nutrients, such as birch leaves and D-mannose, support this effect.
Cranberry, birch leaves and horseradish plus D-mannose
Dr Böhm® Cranberry acute contains a special combination of proven herbal ingredients that support the health of the urinary tract, bladder and mucous membranes in acute cases.
Biotin contributes to a healthy mucous membrane, such as the bladder mucous membrane. Thanks to the unique combination of proanthocyanidins (PAC, bioactive cranberry ingredients) of 67 mg/bag and high-dose D-mannose with 3000 mg/bag, Dr Böhm ® Cranberry acute is particularly effective.
Drinking plenty of fluids is particularly important for bladder health. Dr. Böhm® Cranberry acute makes this particularly easy thanks to its refreshing flavour. The effervescent granules are simply dissolved in water, the valuable ingredients are used quickly and in a targeted manner - and you also cover your increased fluid requirements.
Plant power - unique combination of proven ingredients:
- Cranberry: The special Canadian cranberry extract is particularly rich in valuable proanthocyanidins (PAC). Dr Böhm® Cranberry acute contains an average of 67 mg PAC per sachet.
- Birch leaf extract: to flush out the urinary tract and contribute to bladder health
- Horseradish extract with traditionally proven mustard oil glycosides. These natural substances are produced by plants as a defence against pests and traditionally have proven nutritional and physiological benefits for humans.
Healthy mucous membranes
- Biotin to maintain normal mucous membranes, such as the bladder mucosa
High-dose D-mannose
- D-mannose is a sugar related to glucose that occurs naturally in the human body - in small quantities in the urinary tract, for example. D-mannose is not metabolised in the body, so it reaches the urinary tract and bladder unchanged and can become active there. Dr Böhm ® Cranberry acute provides you with a very high D-mannose content of 3000 mg/bag.
Power for the immune system
- Vitamin C and D contribute to a normally functioning immune system.
