Eye spray moisturises dry, irritated eyes

Doppelherz system AUGEN-SPRAY Hyaluron 0.3 % immediately moisturises irritated eyes and quickly relieves symptoms such as dry, watery and tired eyes. The medical device is a sterile isotonic eye moisturising spray with hyaluronic acid.

• The hyaluronic acid lubricates and moisturises dry eyes and ensures long-lasting moisturisation of the eye surface. Thanks to the innovative micro-spray head of the Doppelherz spray, a particularly fine spray mist is sprayed into the open eye, where it can immediately relieve the symptoms of dry eyes.
• The fine spray mist of the eye spray also relieves eye discomfort such as itching, burning, foreign body sensation and eye irritation caused by external influences such as wind, prolonged exposure to sunlight and pollutants.

Causes of "dry eyes" (sicca syndrome)

We suffer from dry eyes, also known as "sicca syndrome", when insufficient tear fluid is produced or the composition of the outer lipid layer of the eye surface is disturbed. When the tear film no longer completely covers the surface of the eye, dry patches develop, which lead to a discomforting feeling in the eyes: They are sensitive, irritated and feel uncomfortably dry. A disorder can also cause eyes to water frequently.

The surface of our eyes is moisturised and protected by a tear film. Normal tear film formation and normal tear flow are therefore essential for function and eye health!

The outermost layer of the tear film contains fat and ensures that the tear fluid does not evaporate and the eyes therefore remain well moisturised. Only an intact tear film can prevent the surface of the eye from drying out.

In fact, many causes can have an unfavourable effect on the tear film:

These include increasing age, hormonal fluctuations such as during the menopause, UV exposure, air conditioning, dry heating air, illnesses such as rheumatism or diabetes, contact lenses or screen work. Nowadays, prolonged intensive viewing of screens in particular ensures that we blink much less frequently and therefore the surface of the eye is less moisturised. This can lead to an impaired tear film and increased evaporation of the tear fluid. The result of all these causes can be watery, irritated or itchy eyes.

Symptoms of dry eyes

Dry eyes are very common: 15-17% ¹ of the German population are affected. The symptoms of sicca syndrome range from

Eye drops and sprays containing hyaluronic acid are often used to alleviate the unpleasant symptoms of dry eyes. Similar to natural tear fluid, they moisturise the eye and are also well tolerated. If the symptoms do not improve in the long term, an ophthalmologist should be consulted to clarify the causes.

How to use

• Shake before use.
• When using for the first time, press the nozzle down three to four times.
• Hold the bottle securely, place your finger on the spray head and ensure that the nozzle is not covered.
• Hold the bottle at a distance of 10 cm from the eye.
• Look straight ahead and hold the spray bottle at the outer corner of the eye.
• Apply strong pressure to the spray head to achieve complete atomisation.
• Spraying twice per application is recommended, even several times a day.
• Can be used with contact lenses.
• Notes: Doppelherz system AUGEN-SPRAY HYALURON 0.3 % is a sterile solution without chlorhexidine, thimerol salt, benzalkonium chloride and phenoxyethanol.
