Dexpanthenol ratiopharm® wound cream for the treatment of wounds and inflammation of the skin and mucous membranes.

The active ingredient dexpanthenol contained in Dexpanthenol "ratiopharm" 5% is rapidlyconverted in the cells intopantothenic acid, which as a component of coenzyme A plays a central role in the metabolism of every cell. Pantothenic acid is necessary for building up the surfaces of skin and mucous membranes. It increases the rate of cell renewal and the tensile strength of connective tissue fibresduring wound healing.

Dexpanthenol "ratiopharm" 5% promotes the healing of skin and mucous membranes in the case of minorinjuries (including minor burns and abrasions) and skin irritations (e.g. as a result of sunburn).
Dexpanthenol "ratiopharm" 5% is used for the prevention and treatment of dry, crackedor chapped skin.

How to use

For application to the skin.

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, Dexpanthenol "ratiopharm" 5% isapplied once or several timesa day.

Apply Dexpanthenol "ratiopharm" 5% - Wound Cream thinly to the affected areas.

The duration of use depends on the type and course of the disease.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is: Dexpanthenol

1 g cream contains 0.05 g dexpanthenol.

The other ingredients are:potassium sorbate, wool wax alcohol ointment (consisting of wool wax alcohols, cetyl alcohol,stearyl alcohol and white petrolatum), wool wax, petrolatum, white; polyglyceryl-3 polyricinoleate (Imwitor 600), medium-chain triglycerides (Miglyol 812), sodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid monohydrate, purified water.
