For the treatment of dry, reddened skin with a tendency to flake. Has a moisturising and soothing effect with frankincense and devil's claw.

The epidermis normally renews itself every 26-28 days, but in people with psoriasis its growth rate is seven times higher. As a result, excess skin flakes are deposited on some parts of the body (for example on the elbows, shins or scalp), forming reddened, inflamed and sometimes itchy areas of skin.

DermaSel Therapy DANDRUFF SALT is a medical product with Dead Sea salt and Dead Sea magnesium chloride for treating and alleviating the typical symptoms of dry, reddened skin with a tendency to increased flaking (e.g. psoriasis vulgaris). It promotes the desquamation process and reduces redness caused by dandruff and dryness.

• Boswellic acids, contained in the extracts of the Indian frankincense tree, and extracts of South African devil's claw inhibit inflammation, reduce skin redness and have proven their worth as accompanying substances, e.g. in the supportive care of psoriasis. Moisturisers such as urea and glycerine, as well as hemp oil, which is naturally rich in essential fatty acids, help to maintain skin elasticity. The accompanying care components improve the lasting moisturisation of the skin, which can help to counteract the formation of new scales and maintain the improvement of the skin condition.

Active ingredients

• 100% natural Dead Sea salt (Maris Sal, Dead Sea Salts) binds tissue moisture, has a desquamative, anti-inflammatory and anti-itching effect and improves skin condition.
• Dead Sea Magnesium Chloride (Dead Sea Magnesium Salt) works according to the osmotic principle and helps to bind moisture in the skin and prevent skin dryness thanks to its magnesium ion content.
• Frankincense (Boswellia Serrata Gum), which is obtained from the resin of the Indian frankincense tree, contains boswellic acid, which has an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effect.
• Devil's claw (Harpagophytum Procumbens Root Extract) grows abundantly in the dry regions of South Africa and has a strong anti-inflammatory, decongestant and soothing effect.
• Urea is a natural moisturising factor that binds moisture immediately and sustainably. It reduces roughness and tension, even on extremely dry skin and very dry scalps, and also reduces itching and reddening of the skin.
• Hemp oil (Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil) consists of 70 to 80 per cent polyunsaturated fatty acids. The essential fatty acids such as gamma-linolenic acid and linoleic acid can prevent excessive moisture loss, dehydration and cracking of the skin and contribute to a partial restoration of skin lipids.

How to use

The ointment can be used over a longer period of time and is suitable for children from the age of 3. It is free from cortisone, fragrances and colourings, PEG and mineral oil.
