- DeflaGyn® should be used after an unclear cervical smear test (PAP III or PAP IIID).
- This promotes the conditions for spontaneous remission (improvement of the findings). DeflaGyn® should be used for a period of 3 x 28 days.
Dosage form
How to use
- Place the DeflaGyn® bottle on a flat surface. Open the screw cap of the bottle. Place one of the applicators on the bottle openingby pressing firmly.
- Swivel the DeflaGyn® bottle with the applicator attached by 180°. Remove 5 ml of the gel by slowly pulling the applicator plunger up to the 5 ml mark. Now remove the filled applicator from the neck of the bottle and at the same time place the bottle back on the base.
- Bring your pelvis into a slightly raised position with the help of a cushion . Insert the applicator as deeply as possible into the vagina (up to the cervix). The easiest way to do this is to lie on your back with your legs slightly raised. Once you have placed the applicator correctly, empty it by gently pressing on the plunger. Then pull the applicator out of the vagina.
- Remain in the lying position for about 1 minute. Make sure that your pelvis remains in a high position. This ensures the necessary distribution of the vaginal gel at the cervix.
- Dispose of the used applicator.
- Non-menstruating patients: DeflaGyn® should be used for a period of 3 x 28 days. After 28 days of therapy , please take a therapy break of 3 days during which you do not use the DeflaGyn® intravaginal gel. Then continue the therapy for a further 28 days, take another 3-day break and then start the 3rd therapy cycle for a further 28 days.
- Menstruating patients: DeflaGyn® intravaginal gel is not used during menstrual bleeding (approx. 3 - 5 days/cycle). An additional break of 3 days is not necessary, as the therapy break has already taken place due to the menstrual bleeding.
- Special instructions: DeflaGyn® vaginal gel should only be used after consultation with a doctor, especially during pregnancy. Local intravaginal (therapeutic and/or cleansing and/or contraceptive) treatments should be carried out at the earliest 2 hours after the application of DeflaGyn® vaginal gel. Minor reddish discolouration on or in the closure does not affect the usability of the product.

- Composition per application: Highly dispersed silicon dioxide 10.0 mg, citric acid 24.8 mg, sodium selenite 0.83 mg corresponds to selenium 0.25 mg.
- Excipients: Hydroxyethyl cellulose, aqua. Preservatives: potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate.
