Product information "Compeed Blister Plasters Medium"
Compeed blister medium for large blisters.
Compeed blister plasters are stuck directly onto the blister. There they act like a second skin, relieving pressure and pain immediately and protecting the wound from water, dirt and bacteria. Compeed blister plasters can be used at any stage of blister formation and healing, but the general rule is: the earlier they are applied, the faster the blister heals
Compeed blister plasters consist of hydrocolloids that keep the wound moist and prevent the formation of scabs (principle of moist wound healing)
Advantages
- Compeed creates an optimal healing environment
- Promotes the skin's self-healing mechanism
- Protects the nerve endings and thus relieves pain
- Accelerates the healing process
Properties
- Thick padding alleviates pressure and reduces painful friction
- Excellent adhesion and bevelled edges: the Compeed® Blister Plaster Medium adapts to movement and adheres securely for days
- Discreet adaptation to the skin tone
- Waterproof and breathable design retains natural moisture and protects against germs and dirt for faster wound healing
Dosage form
Blister plasters (6.8 x 4.2 cm)
Application
- Clean and dry the skin before use. Do not use on infected wounds
- To ensure optimum adhesion, the skin area around the blister must be free of cream and grease residues
- Peel off the backing paper printed with Compeed, do not touch the adhesive side of the plaster
- Stick the plaster directly onto the blister without touching the adhesive surface, then remove the white plastic tab
- Make sure that the edges of the plaster are carefully smoothed out
- Only remove the Compeed plaster when it starts to come off by itself
- To remove the Compeed plaster, stretch it slowly along the skin
- For best results, repeat the application of the Compeed plasters until the skin is completely healed
Compeed adheres to the skin much longer than conventional plasters. During the healing process, the plaster comes off by itself. If it is necessary to remove the Compeed plaster, it can be stretched along the surface of the skin as if you were trying to pull it out.
