Children's LUUF® Balsam, 30 G

Kinder LUUF® Balm is an over-the-counter medicine for the external treatment of colds. Ideal for children aged 2 years and over, for symptoms such as coughs, runny noses and sore throats.

Kinder LUUF® Balm contains, as active ingredients, essential oils from eucalyptus and the resinous balsam of various pine species, as well as camphor, menthol and thymol. Some of the active ingredients are absorbed through the skin, increasing blood flow and creating a warming sensation. The essential oils, as highly volatile compounds, are also inhaled directly into the lungs from the treated areas of the body.

Kinder LUUF® Balm has antispasmodic, antiseptic (germ-inhibiting) and expectorant properties. It loosens thick, sticky phlegm, making it easier to cough up. It also makes breathing easier and soothes the urge to cough.

Indications:

• for external use in cases of colds with symptoms such as cough, a runny nose and sore throat.
• as a supportive treatment for tracheal and bronchial catarrh (bronchitis) as well as for persistent, recurrent catarrh.

Kinder LUUF® Balm is ideal for children aged 2 and over. Tried-and-tested, naturally pure essential oils such as eucalyptus oil, camphor and menthol are precisely tailored to a child’s age. Kinder LUUF® Balm has antispasmodic and antibacterial properties. Sticky phlegm is loosened, making it easier to cough up. Overall, it makes breathing easier and soothes the urge to cough.

Usage

Children from the age of 2 to 12 years:

• Rubbing in: Apply Kinder LUUF® balm 2 to 3 times a day, at least in the morning and evening. Depending on the child’s age, apply approx. 1–2 teaspoons of balm to the chest and back and rub in gently. The effect is enhanced if the chest and back are covered with a pre-warmed vest or warm cloths.

Inhalation for children aged 6 and over:

• Place a quantity of Kinder LUUF® Balm roughly the size of a hazelnut into a bowl of hot water and inhale the vapours for several minutes.

Ingredients

• The active ingredients in 1 g of balm are: 15 mg of eucalyptus essential oil, 50 mg of purified turpentine essential oil, 50 mg of camphor, 27.5 mg of menthol, 2.5 mg of thymol.
• The other ingredients are nutmeg oil, cedar leaf oil, white petrolatum and hard paraffin.
