Cevitol® 500 mg chewable tablets for the prophylaxis and therapy of vitamin C deficiency states; for methaemoglobinaemia.

Cevitol contains pure ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Vitamin C is vital for the human body and influences a large number of metabolic processes. It must be supplied regularly and in sufficient quantities because it cannot beproduced by the body itself.

A pronounced vitamin C deficiency canbe accompanied by various symptoms, including skin haemorrhages, gum inflammation or tooth loss and tissue swelling .

Cevitol is used to prevent and treat vitamin C deficiency.

How to use

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the recommended dose for adults is: 1 chewable tablet 1 to 2 times a day
The maximum daily intake of vitamin C for adults should not exceed 2000 mg (4 chewable tablets).
Patients with impaired kidney function should take a lower dose of vitamin C . Please discuss the appropriate dose with your doctor.
The tablets should be chewed well.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is: ascorbic acid (vitamin C). 1 chewable tablet contains 500 mg ascorbic acid.

The other ingredients are: Ethylcellulose, sucrose, glucose monohydrate, maize starch, macrogol 6000, sodium cyclamate, povidone, orange flavouring, silicon dioxide, glycerol monostearate.
