Product information "CentroVision® AMD Premium Tablets"
CentroVision® AMD Premium contains a balanced combination of the important vitamins C and E, the minerals zinc and copper and the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin. The composition of the ingredients of CentroVision® AMD Premium has been carefully balanced according to the scientific findings of a large-scale human study and is therefore suitable for dietary management of age-related macular degeneration in the intermediate and advanced stages (according to the AREDS 3 and 4 categories).
The so-called macula lutea, also known as the "yellow spot", is located in the centre of the retina of the eye and is the point of sharpest vision. The typical yellow colour of the macula is caused by the stored pigment, the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin. Age-related macular degeneration is a disease of the eye in which the macula is affected.

Interesting facts about the three-layer tablet
- The three layers of the tablet contribute to optimum absorption of the ingredients.
- The light orange layer with vitamin C already dissolves in the stomach so that it is available to the entire intestinal system for rapid absorption of its ingredients.
- The middle light-coloured layer with zinc and copper only dissolves in the small intestine and is therefore gentle on the stomach.
- The orange layer with lutein, zeaxanthin and vitamin E is the last component to break down very slowly in the intestine and releases the ingredients in the corresponding sections of the intestine. Lutein, zeaxanthin and vitamin E are absorbed together with fats. The joint dissolution of these ingredients with the specially designed fat matrix of the tablet contributes to their optimal absorption.

Directions
Take 1 tablet unchewed in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening, preferably with a meal, with plenty of liquid. Please follow the instructions of your ophthalmologist or doctor.
Important information: Use only under medical supervision. Not a complete food. Food for special medical purposes is not intended for use as a sole source of nutrition. If taking anticoagulants at the same time, consult your doctor before consumption. Keep out of the reach of children. Not suitable for people who do not suffer from AMD. Not suitable for pregnant women, nursing mothers, children and adolescents. Store below 25 ºC, dry and protected from light. Lactose and gluten free.
