CentroVision® 4 PLUS contains the valuable carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin, which are highly concentrated in the eye. Lutein and zeaxanthin cannot be produced in the body and must therefore be taken in with food. CentroVision® 4 PLUS also contains the enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD) as well as vitamins B2, B6, C and E and the mineral selenium. Selenium and vitamins B2, C and E help to protect the cells from oxidative stress. This is triggered by free radicals, among other things, which can also occur in the eyes during physiological metabolic activity. Vitamin B2 also contributes to the maintenance of normal vision and normal mucous membranes. Selenium also helps to maintain the normal function of the immune system.

Without consciously realising it, we usually take it for granted that our eyes function well every day. Eyes have to withstand many external influences, regardless of whether it is blue light (e.g. screen work and computer games), UV light or air pollution , or whether you have problems with night vision or increased sensitivity to light. Several specific substances are responsible for the normal process of seeing, such as vitamin B2 for maintaining normal vision. At the back and centre of the retina is the macula, a small yellow spot that has the highest density of photoreceptors and whose colouring is caused by lutein and zeaxanthin.

What is SOD?

SOD (superoxide dismutase) is a special enzyme that is found in practically all cells of the human body, including our eye tissues . Together with other enzymes, vitamins and trace elements , SOD is part of the antioxidant system.

Extraction of SOD from the cantaloupe melon (Cucumis melo)

Studies have shown that this particular variety of cantaloupe melon contains large amounts of the enzyme SOD. It also has a longer shelf life than related varieties, without any genetic engineering. The patented branded raw material is extracted from the fruit flesh in accordance with strict quality regulations and processedin CentroVision® 4 PLUS .

Take 1 tablet daily, preferably with a meal, unchewed with plenty of liquid.

Ingredients: Bulking agent microcrystalline cellulose, vitamin C, extract from Tagetes erecta containing lutein and zeaxanthin , D-α-tocopheryl succinate, bulking agent cross-linked carboxymethylcellulose, glazing agents hydroxypropylcellulose and hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, rice bran, melon fruit extract .hydroxypropyl methylcellulose , rice bran, melon fruit powder (from Cucumis melo), riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, sodium selenate, anti-caking agent silicon dioxide, stabilisers calcium sulphate and magnesium carbonates, colours riboflavin and iron oxides.
