The CUTICERIN Eucerit®-containing ointment dressing consists of an acetate fabric with a neutral, Eucerit®-containing*, hydrophobic ointment coating for flat, exuding wounds - sterile.
CUTICERIN is a Eucerit®-containing* ointment dressing that serves as a primary layer between the wound and the secondary dressing. CUTICERIN does not stick to the wound and thus ensures a painless dressing change and undisturbed wound rest. The ointment coating protects the wound surface and wound edges. CUTCERIN allows excess exudate to drain into an absorbent secondary dressing. The smooth acetate fabric with its defined, small mesh size minimises the risk of granulation tissue ingrowth.
Properties
- Permeable to air and exudate to prevent skin maceration
- Smooth, close-meshed surface protects the granulation and epithelial tissue
- Ointment coating protects the wound surface and edges
- Enables atraumatic dressing changes and undisturbed wound rest
- Secondary dressing required (depending on the amount of exudate, use e.g. absorbent dressings, film dressings such as OPSITE Flexifx or fixation bandages)
- Latex-free formulation
Areas of application
- CUTICERIN can be used to treat superficial, exuding wounds such as burns and abrasions, radiation damage and split skin removal sites.
