The Burnshield hydrogel is suitable for rapid pain relief in the case of burns or heat injuries. When treating sunburn and superficial burns, the gel offers physical protection against infection.

The high water content in the gel promotes rapid cooling to minimise skin damage. The white hydrogel becomes transparent after application, making it possible to monitor the progress of the wound. Burnshield gel can also be used to rehydrate dressings and hard-to-reach areas.

The hydrogel is completely non-toxic and does not cause any skin irritation. It contains no oils or fats. It is therefore completely safe to use on the face or on small children. Burnshield burn dressings can be used for all first, second and third degree burns or scalds.

How to use

Rinse with lukewarm running water.
Apply the hydrogel generously to the wound.
Remove all objects such as jewellery that could cause entrapment.
Remove all items of clothing or other objects that do not adhere to the wound.
Cover the wound with a Burnshield dressing.
Advice: It is always advisable to have a medical examination after burns or if you have inhaled smoke. Burnshield products are intended for the initial treatment of scalds and 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns or for immediate physical protection during a fire. Burnshield does not replace medical treatment of burns.
