Bios 5-HTP 50 mg capsules are a dietary supplement containing Griffonia seeds. Griffonia simplicifolia is the scientific name for the African black bean.

As a herbal preparation, Griffonia has a long tradition in African culture. The seeds of this plant improve concentration, promote mental resilience and lift the mood. This is due to the naturally high content of 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) in the seeds of this African plant. 5-HTP plays a key role in the production of the ‘happiness hormone’ serotonin. Serotonin, in turn, is converted into the sleep hormone melatonin. This explains the sleep-promoting and calming properties of this special bean. 5-HTP 100 mg organic capsules also contain magnesium, which contributes to normal psychological function, normal nervous system function, normal energy metabolism, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and normal protein synthesis. The 5-HTP contained in these capsules is Peak X-free and meets the highest quality standards.

Adults: Take 1 capsule once daily with liquid.
Notes: Do not use during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding. The concurrent use of antidepressants requires a careful assessment of the benefits and risks. Caution for diabetics – contains sugar!
