How to use
- Rinsing: Rinse and clean the wound with the BWC solution (Bactiguard Wound Care). If there is no biofilm or need for debridement, proceed directly to step 4.
- Soak: Place compresses soaked with BWC solution on the wound. Leave on for 10-15 minutes to remove biofilm and facilitate debridement.
- Cleanse: Manual debridement. Clean the wound with compresses soaked in BWC solution.
- Apply gel: Apply 2-5 mm BWC gel (from the tube or spray bottle) to the wound.
- Cover the wound: Depending on the type, cover the wound with a suitable secondary dressing. The dressing is changed once or twice a week, although more frequent changes are often necessary at the beginning.
- Irrigate: Irrigate and clean the wound with BWC solution (Bactiguard Wound Care).
- Apply gel: Apply 2-5 mm BWC gel (from the tube or spray bottle) to the wound. Depending on the judgement of the medical staff, the wound may remain open and without a dressing.
