BACTIGRAS is a sterile cotton gauze dressing with a special weave (twist weave) and impregnated with white soft paraffin containing 0.5 per cent chlorhexidine acetate.
BACTIGRAS is a soft paraffin gauze dressing containing chlorhexidine, which acts as an anti-adhesive barrier between the wound and the secondary dressing. This enables atraumatic dressing changes for the patient. The open structure of the dressing allows wound exudate to drain freely into an absorbent secondary dressing. A special weave prevents fraying when the dressing is cut to size. BACTIGRAS is effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms and thus reduces the risk of microbial colonisation of the wound.
BACTIGRAS contains a broad-spectrum antiseptic (0.5% chlorhexidine acetate). The dressing can therefore be used for the prevention and treatment of infections. Thanks to its white paraffin coating, BACTIGRAS acts as an anti-adhesion barrier between the wound and the secondary dressing. This enables atraumatic dressing changes for the patient. The open structure of the cotton gauze allows wound exudate to drain easily into an absorbent secondary dressing, such as an absorbent compress. A special weave prevents fraying when the dressing is cut to size.
