Avitale Pumpkin Seed Complex Capsules are a dietary supplement with extracts of pumpkin seeds, nettle and saw palmetto, combined with zinc and selenium.

The pumpkin seeds

There are over 800 different species of pumpkin and they are among the largest fruits on earth. Botanically, they belong to the Cucurbitaceae family and are not classed as vegetables but as berries. Pumpkin seeds, the starting product of one of the best and most expensive oils, are rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins A, C and E as well as potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc and selenium. They also contain important amino acids and phytosterols, a group of bioactive ingredients.

The stinging nettle

The "stinging nettle" belongs to the nettle family and is widespread throughout Europe. The main characteristic of the plants are their coarsely toothed leaves with stinging hairs. The best-known species is the "common nettle" (Urtica dioica), its flowers are white to light purple and it flowers from June to October. Nettle leaves contain minerals and vitamins such as potassium, calcium, iron, vitamin C and vitamin E as well as flavonoids and silicic, formic and acetic acid.

The saw palmetto

The saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) is mainly native to the southern coastal states of North America and its fruits are called sabal fruits. Saw palmetto extract is obtained from them during further processing. Saw palmetto contains phytohormones, flavonoids, palmetto oil, sugars and carotenoids.

Zinc and selenium

Zinc and selenium are vital, essential trace elements and are involved in many metabolic processes in the human organism. Both contribute to the normal function of the immune system. Zinc contributes to normal fertility and normal reproduction and is important for the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood. Selenium contributes to normal thyroid function and supports normal sperm formation in men.

• Ingredients: Pumpkin seed extract, nettle extract, carrier: maltodextrin and silicon dioxide, capsule shell: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, saw palmetto extract, anti-caking agents: tri-calcium phosphate and magnesium salts of fatty acids (vegetable), zinc (zinc citrate), inulin, selenium (sodium selenate).
