Atrauman® Ag silver-containing ointment compress, sterile, 10 x 20 cm, 10 ST

Product information "Atrauman® Ag silver-containing ointment compress, sterile, 10 x 20 cm"

Beipackzettel ansehen

Atrauman® Ag is a non-adherent wound contact layer that is suitable for the treatment of chronic wounds such as leg ulcers, diabetic leg ulcers and pressure sores. The product is also used to treat acute burns up to the second degree.

Atrauman Ag is suitable for treatment on human skin by qualified professionals. The carrier material consists of polyamide, the fibres of which are coated with elemental silver. The triglyceride-based impregnation (neutral lipids) is free of active ingredients. The impregnation contains (INCI names): Caprylic/Capric/Myristic/Stearic Triglyceride, Bis-diglycerylpolyacyladipate-2 and Macrogol 2000. The soft, thin carrier material is easy to drape and ensures close contact with the wound bed. The surface of the material and the impregnation prevent it from sticking to the wound so that the dressing can be changed atraumatically. Atrauman Ag is a silver-containing wound dressing. The impregnation cares for the wound edges and prevents maceration. It is free of active ingredients and contains no paraffin.

Properties

  • Atrauman® Ag is thin, soft, cuttable and drapable.
  • Atrauman® Ag ensures close contact with the entire wound surface.
  • Atrauman® Ag does not stick to the wound and thus enables painless dressing changes.

Dosage form

Compress, sterile

Application

Remove Atrauman Ag from the peel pack without removing the backing paper. If necessary, cut to the size of the wound while maintaining sterility. Atrauman Ag should overlap the wound and be approximately the same size as the secondary dressing. Remove the cover paper on one side. Either place the free side on the wound and then peel off the remaining backing paper or use sterile tweezers or sterile gloves to remove Atrauman Ag from the second backing paper and place it on the wound. Atrauman Ag should be applied in a single layer, not folded or applied in multiple layers. Secure a suitable sterile secondary dressing (absorbent or superabsorbent dressings, foam dressings or compresses such as Zetuvit Plus) over Atrauman Ag according to the appropriate instructions for use to absorb wound exudate. Alternatively, the Vivano negative pressure wound therapy system can be used. Particularly in the case of deep wounds, it must be ensured that Atrauman Ag is in direct contact with the absorbent wound dressing and that there are no folds that could impede the drainage of exudate. In the case of viscous exudate, it is recommended to cut Atrauman Ag with sterile scissors to prevent the exudate from accumulating. Before combining with the Vivano negative pressure wound therapy system, the corresponding instructions for use must be observed. The dressing remains effective for up to seven days. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor or medically indicated, a new Atrauman Ag dressing should be applied each time the dressing is changed. The same dressing should not remain in place for longer than seven days.
