Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener Powder, 135 G

Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener Powder is a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet) for increased spitting and regurgitation in infants, from birth.

Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener can be used from birth to thicken breast milk, infant milk or special foods.

Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener contains the natural swelling agent locust bean gum, which makes your baby's usual food particularly creamy and thus ensures that it stays in the stomach better and reduces reflux. Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener can be used individually. You can add it directly to expressed breast milk, the usual infant milk or special formula or feed it to your baby as a paste before breastfeeding.

How to use

• The enclosed spoonful contains 1.7 g of Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener (see packaging for exact dosage).
• Preparation: Follow the instructions for use exactly when preparing Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener. Improper preparation and storage can lead to health problems due to the growth of unwanted germs. Prepare the food fresh before each meal and feed it immediately. Do not reuse leftover food. Clean the bottle, teat and ring thoroughly. Do not heat formula in the microwave (risk of overheating).
• Feeding in a bottle: Express breast milk or prepare your usual milk according to the manufacturer's instructions. Add the thickener according to the dosage table above and close the bottle. Then immediately take the bottle between your palms and roll it vigorously in an upright position for 5 seconds. Then shake the vial for 20 seconds and leave it to stand for 7 minutes to thicken. After shaking again, check the drinking temperature (approx. 37°C) and feed immediately.
• Feeding with a spoon: This method can be used for breastfed babies or babies who are already receiving complementary foods. Add the thickener to the liquid according to the dosage table above. Stir this and leave the paste to stand for 3 minutes to thicken. Stir again and then feed with a spoon before or during the meal.
