Alpveda Cardamom Essential Oil is a 100% pure cardamom essential oil, produced by steam distillation from ethically grown cardamom from a farm in Kerala, southern India.

It can be used as a flavour enhancer in food and drink, in an aroma diffuser to create a pleasant atmosphere, or as a fragrance in beauty treatments.

Cardamom (Eletteria cardamomum) belongs to the ginger family (Zingiberaceae) and is native to the south-west of the Indian subcontinent. Cardamom is added to traditional Indian and Middle Eastern sweets and teas because of its sweet, slightly warm and spicy flavour. The highly aromatic seeds contained within the green pod-like fruits are dried after harvesting and used as a prized spice in cooking and Ayurvedic medicine.
