- Black garlic is not a new type of garlic. Rather, it is produced when commercially available white garlic is fermented under controlled conditions of heat and air.
- During this process, sugars and amino acids in the garlic form melanoidins (dark organic compounds), which colour the bulb black. Fermentation gives the garlic a soft, slightly sticky consistency. The typical garlic flavour shifts towards sweetness with aromas of plum, liquorice and balsamic vinegar. In Asia, it has long been valued as a culinary delicacy due to its flavour. There, fermentation (Latin fermentum: "fermentation") has a long tradition of preserving food.
- However, a key advantage of fermentation - in addition to preserving and refining the flavour - is the production of a garlic product that does not cause the typical mouth or body odour. The fermentation process produces stable odourless substances from the sulphur-containing ingredients of fresh garlic, which are not excreted through the skin or the air we breathe.

How to use
- As a dietary supplement, take 2 capsules daily with sufficient liquid. The recommended daily dose should not be exceeded.
- Not suitable for children, pregnant women and nursing mothers.
