Alpinamed Cough Soother Marshmallow Syrup is a traditional herbal medicinal product for the symptomatic treatment of irritation of the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat and the associated dry cough.
This medicine is a traditional herbal medicine registered solely on the basis of long-standing use for the indicated indications. This medicine is intended for use in adults, adolescents and children aged 3 years and over. If you do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 1 week, consult your doctor.

Directions for use
- Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over: 10 ml three times a day.
- Children (6–11 years): 1.5 ml four times a day.
- Children (3–5 years): 1 ml four times a day.
- Use in children: Use in children under 3 years of age is not recommended due to a lack of data.
- Method of administration: For oral use. Shake well before use. A measuring cup and a dosing syringe are provided to help measure the exact dose of Alpinamed Cough Soother Marshmallow Syrup. After use, rinse the measuring aids with warm water and dry them.
- Duration of use: If you do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 1 week, consult your doctor.
Ingredients
- The active ingredient is: Liquid extract of marshmallow root. 1 ml (= 1.3 g) contains 0.97 ml of marshmallow root syrup (Althaeae sirupus), prepared from 0.48 ml of liquid extract (macerate) of marshmallow root (Althaeae radix, drug-to-extract ratio (DEV) 1:22; extraction solvent: water).
- The other ingredients are: sucrose, propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate E 216, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate E 218, 96% ethanol, 70% sorbitol solution (non-crystallising) E 420, total ethanol content: approx. 7.24 mg.
