Do you have problems with food moths? The Aeroxon® food moth trap helps you to reliably identify and reduce them. The special attractant formulation attracts moths while your food remains protected.
Odourless glue trap with sexual attractant (pheromone) to catch dried fruit moths. These moths can occur in nuts, muesli, biscuits, chocolate, flour, spices, dry pet food and other dry foods.
Properties
- Odourless glue trap with sexual attractant (pheromone)
- Catches dried fruit moths
- For use in kitchens or storerooms
- Effective for 2 x 6 weeks
Mode of action
The trapping effect is achieved by the sexual attractant (pheromone) of the female moth. Male moths are attracted and held on the glue surface. This interrupts the reproductive cycle of the moths and significantly reduces new infestations of foodstuffs. The Aeroxon food moth trap is odourless and easy to use.
Dosage form
Adhesive film
How to use
Use biocidal products with care. Always read the label and product information before use.
Cut open the bag (contains 2 traps) at the top and remove one of the two traps. Note the replacement date on the trap (after 6 weeks). The second trap can remain in the opened bag without reducing its shelf life (the glue surface with attractant is securely protected by the white silicone paper).
- Remove the red foil strip on the back of the trap.
- Stick the trap to the inside of a cupboard and then brush firmly over the trap several times by hand. Use one trap per cupboard. Larger rooms should be fitted with two traps.
- Quickly peel off the white protective paper in one go. The trap is now activated and releases the pheromone continuously for 6 weeks.
- Check the trap weekly and replace it after approx. 6 weeks or when the trap area is completely filled with moths. Even if no more moths are visible, it is advisable to continue using food moth traps in order to recognise a possible new infestation at an early stage.
Disposal: The traps can be disposed of with household waste. Dispose of the folding box in the recycling centre.
