Acrylastic® elastic adhesive bandage is a bandage for compression bandages and functional bandages. These are worn over a longer period of time. A non-slip fit and fine adjustment of the compression pressure are required.
Acrylastic® fulfils these requirements and offers additional comfort thanks to its water-repellent fabric. Acrylastic® is a self-adhesive bandage with a maximum stretch of approx. 60 % in the longitudinal direction. Highly twisted warp threads are woven into the backing, providing strong compression and permanent longitudinal elastic support.
Acrylastic® can be sterilised, is radiolucent and skin-friendly. The bandage can be used for several days even on sensitive skin.
Areas of application:
- Increasing reflux in cases of insufficiency of the venous and lymphatic system, especially in the legs and their secondary diseases (e.g. thrombosis and leg ulcers as well as thrombophlebitis)
- Local compression treatment
- Haematoma prophylaxis and promotion of resorption of already formed haematomas, especially in the joint area (e.g. after punctures)
- Functional treatment for injuries to muscles, ligaments and joints and to protect against injuries to previously damaged joints
- Use as an underbandage before applying Leukotape®
