ARKTIS BIOPHARMA Arktibiotic® Relief capsules are a dietary supplement containing a combination of the following two bacterial strains: Saccharomyces boulardii and Bacillus subtilis.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is defined as a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning that it is only considered after all other possible causes have been ruled out. In the recent past, there has been growing evidence that a mal-colonisation of the small intestine (SIBO) could act as a potential trigger for IBS. After all, up to 78% of people with IBS also have SIBO. However, the therapeutic options for treating small intestinal overgrowth are limited and are often associated with a reduction in healthy intestinal flora or are accompanied by significant side effects.

This sometimes hopeless situation of those affected was an enormous motivation for us at Arktis BioPharma. We therefore spent many months working intensively on research into RDS and SIBO. The result is Arktibiotic® Relief. It consists of the innovative and unique combination of Saccharomyces boulardii and Bacillus subtilis. To round off this innovative complex, we have added vitamin D and zinc.

S. boulardii is a speciality yeast related to baker's and brewer's yeast and is also very suitable for very sensitive people. Studies show that s. boulardii is able to colonise the gastrointestinal tract. B. subtilis is a spore-based bacterium. It is extremely heat-stable and can pass through the stomach without any problems. B. subtilis was named Microbe of the Year 2023. Not only because of its positive effect on the gastrointestinal tract. It is also used in biotechnology for the production of some vitamins and enzymes. Although B. subtilis is already an extensively studied bacterium, its considerable potential means that it continues to be the subject of intensive research in order to fully develop and utilise its many potential applications.

To support the normal function of the immune system, we also rely on the combination of vitamin D and zinc.

How to use

Take 2 capsules daily with sufficient liquid. We recommend taking on an empty stomach.
