Good from nature

Oregano (Origanum vulgare L.) - also known as wild marjoram, is a spice plant that originated in the mountainous regions of the Mediterranean. Also known as dost, this labiate plant is a popular spice and enjoyed great popularity in ancient Egypt and Greece. For centuries, the inhabitants of the Mediterranean region have valued the tannins and bitter substances it contains and also like to drink the herb as a tea.

Valuable essential oil

The oregano plant consists of approx. 0.1 to 1 % essential oil. This is extracted from the plant using gentle steam distillation. The phenolic monoterpenes carvacrol and thymol are particularly valuable components of oregano essential oil. 133 mg of oregano oil, which consists of 70 % carvacrol and 3.5 % thymol, is contained in each Dr Jacob's oregano oil capsule. The oregano oil is embedded in first-class natural olive oil.

Advantages of oregano oil capsules

Many capsules with liquid contents contain gelatine of animal origin in their capsule shell. The oregano oil capsules from Dr Jacob's are free from animal ingredients. We use the vegan liquid capsules GREENCAPS, which ensure optimum absorption and stability of the oil contained.

  • Take 1 capsule daily with a meal. Please do not open the capsule as the contents are very concentrated.
  • Note: Not suitable for pregnant women.
