The ALLEVYN HEEL heel dressing is a non-adhesive wound dressing made of polyurethane foam for the treatment of wounds with moderate to heavy exudation. Anatomically shaped for the simple treatment of problem areas such as heels, elbows, amputation stumps, toes and testicles - sterile.
Properties
- High absorption capacity and rapid absorption of exudate
- Cuddly and cushioning for high patient comfort
- Can be cut to size
- Fixation e.g. with OPSITE FLEXIFIX or bandages
- Dressing stays in place for up to 7 days
Areas of application
- Secondary wound healing of superficial, granulating wounds. Chronic and acute exuding wounds, superficial or deep wounds such as pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, infected wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, malignant wounds, surgical wounds, first and second degree burns, split-thickness skin removal sites and proliferating ulcers.

Non-adherent wound dressing made of polyurethane foam. ALLEVYN Heel consists of an absorbent hydrocellular polyurethane foam embedded between a perforated non-adherent wound contact layer and a waterproof, breathable outer film.
