Dosage form
Application
- Preparation of the wound. Clean the wound carefully by rinsing with sterile saline solution. Then remove the label from the accordion-shaped dispenser by pulling the tab according to the labelling. Wipe the tip under the cap with a suitable antiseptic compress and then remove the cap.
- NU-GEL can be easily applied to the wound surface with one hand. To do this, hold the dispenser with one hand and apply NU-GEL to the wound by pressing the base of the packet with your thumb or the ball of your hand (similar to an injection).
- The tip should not touch the wound surface. Apply NU-GEL to the wound in a thickness of at least 5 mm. Then cover the wound with a suitable secondary dressing according to the level of exudation. Unused gel should not be reused.
- Less frequent dressing changes promote wound healing. When changing the dressing, you should clean the wound with sterile saline solution after removing the gel. Depending on the amount of exudate, the dressing can remain on the wound for up to three days. NU-GEL must be renewed if the secondary dressing becomes soaked.
