The Adaptic Wound Dressing is a primary dressing made from a cellulose acetate mesh impregnated with a special petrolatum emulsion.
Properties
- The Adaptic Wound Dressing's unique cellulose acetate mesh protects the newly forming tissue by minimising trauma during dressing changes.1
- The pore size of the Adaptic dressing allows exudate to pass freely through to the secondary dressing, minimising the risk of exudate accumulation and maceration at the wound site. It also reduces the risk of tissue adhering to either the Adaptic dressing or the secondary dressing.1
Areas of application
Adaptic Wound Dressing is indicated for dry to heavily exuding wounds including second degree burns, lacerations and abrasions, grafts, venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, avulsed nails, eczema, staple and suture lines, surgical incisions and reconstructive procedures.
