s.calon® duo.shampoo is used to treat head lice infestations and their eggs (nits).
What does s.calon® duo.shampoo contain and how does it work?
s.calon® duo.shampoo consists of two phases:
- Phase 1 - active ingredient phase: consists of a silicone oil mixture that ensures the reliable removal of head lice and their eggs (nits).
- Phase 2 - wash-out aid: is a shampoo consisting exclusively of ECOCERT-compliant natural cosmetic raw materials, which washes out the active ingredient phase and the dead lice and nits from the hair without leaving any residue.
s.calon® duo.shampoo is a purely physical preparation for the safe, quick and convenient treatment of head lice infestations. The innovative 2-phase product concept enables comprehensive treatment success in just 15 minutes. s.calon® duo.shampoo covers lice and their nits with a wafer-thin film, thus suffocating the parasites.

How to use
The following application rate is recommended for s.calon® duo.shampoo:
Hair length:
- Short - up to the ears - 25 - 30 ml;
- Medium - up to the shoulders - 30 - 40 ml;
- Long - over shoulder length - 40 - 50 ml*;
*For particularly long or thick hair, increase the application quantity accordingly.
How do I use s.calon® duo.shampoo?
- Place a towel around the shoulders of the person to be treated.
- Moisten the hair with water.
- Remove s.calon® duo.shampoo from the packaging and shake the bottle vigorously for at least 15 seconds until the 2 phases have mixed homogeneously.
- Apply s.calon® duo.shampoo to damp hair. To do this, part the hair into several sections with the enclosed nit comb and apply the shampoo quickly. If you have long hair, lift the hair up to reach the areas at the hairline, including the nape of the neck. Spread the shampoo over the hair with your fingers and massage in until the scalp and hair are completely covered by the shampoo! Make sure that sufficient product is also applied to the areas behind the ears and the nape of the neck. If you need more time to apply the product, the two phases may separate (as indicated by the bottle). In this case, shake the product again and continue the application.
- Leave the shampoo on the hair and scalp for 15 minutes. If available, we recommend using a shower cap.
- After the application time, add enough water to make the shampoo foam vigorously and then rinse thoroughly from the hair with plenty of warm water. Then systematically comb out each section of damp hair with the enclosed nit comb to remove any remaining dead lice and nits from the hair. Then dry the hair as usual.
- As the probability of a new infestation through contact with people with acute head lice infestation is particularly high in the initial phase of a lice epidemic, we recommend a second treatment 8 - 10 days after the first treatment.
Notes: Only use externally. Never apply to the face, eyes or mucous membranes (rinse with plenty of water after contact). Do not apply to open wounds. Do not use the product if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients. Avoid unnecessary contact with the product. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the packaging and label.
