When your back hurts or your joints ache, it often restricts your daily life. Often even work and hobbies suffer from these restrictions. Musculoskeletal pain is one of the most common forms of chronic pain. People of an advanced age are particularly likely to complain of joint pain, but younger people are also increasingly affected.

ratioDolor® Diclofenac pain gel is suitable for the treatment of acute musculoskeletal pain in adults and adolescents aged 14 and over. For example, for acute pain in the

tendons, ligaments or joints, as well as
acute knee, shoulder or back pain caused by bruises, strains or sprains.

How does ratioDolor® Diclofenac pain gel work?

The active ingredient diclofenac has a simultaneous analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect. It blocks the formation of certain messenger substances in the body (so-called prostaglandins). These are significantly involved in the development of pain and inflammation. Thanks to the double* concentration of diclofenac, ratioDolor® Diclofenac Pain Gel effectively relieves both pain and inflammation.

Why a pain gel?

A pain gel can be used to combat pain directly on the spot. This means that only small amounts of the active ingredient are needed and the rest of the body is largely spared.

How to use

ratioDolor Diclofenac Schmerzgel 2 % Gel should be applied twice daily (preferably in the morning and evening).
Depending on the size of the affected area to be treated, a cherry- to walnut-sized amount, corresponding to 1-4 g of gel, is required.
The maximum total daily dose is 8 g of gel.

Open the tube as follows before the first application:

Unscrew the cap from the tube. To open the safety seal, turn the cap over and place it on the tube opening. Do not use scissors or other sharp objects!
Remove the plastic seal from the tube by twisting it. Use the gel as described in this leaflet. If the seal is damaged, you must not use the product.

Applying the gel:

ratioDolor Diclofenac pain gel is intended for use on the skin.
Apply a thin layer of the gel to the affected areas of the body and rub it gently into the skin. Wash your hands after rubbing in the gel, unless they are the area to be treated.

Duration of treatment:

The duration of use depends on the symptoms and the underlying illness.
ratioDolor Diclofenac pain gel must not be used for longer than 1 week without medical advice.
If the symptoms have not improved or have even worsened after 3 - 5 days, consult your doctor.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is diclofenac. 1 g contains 23.2 mg diclofenac diethylamine, corresponding to 20 mg diclofenac sodium.

The other ingredients are Isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol (E 1520), cocoyl caprylocaprate, viscous paraffin, carbomer, macrogol cetyl stearyl ether, diethylethanamine, oleic acid (E 570), butylhydroxytoluene, fragrance (contains camphor, eucalyptol, ambroxide, citronellol, geraniol, benzyl alcohol, linalool, limonene, citral, farnesol, coumarin, eugenol), (contains citronellol, geraniol, benzyl alcohol, linalool, limonene, citral, farnesol, coumarin, eugenol), purified water.
